BoJ's Koeda speech

Junko Koeda is a member of the BoJ’s Policy Board. She was appointed in March 2025 for a five-year term. She served as an economist at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and as chief economist at the Ministry of Finance. Before joining the BoJ, she was a professor at the Faculty of Political Science and Economics at Waseda University. Koeda studied economics at the University of Tokyo and has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
