US President Donald Trump meets his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Gyeongju, South Korea. Both presidents are expected to sign off on the terms of a trade deal that could pause American tariffs and Chinese rare earths export controls, US officials said.
